This picture has a plastic effect added to it

like the heavy, concrete underground.

This picture has an Old World charm appeal. I wanted it to be sombre and moody, (adding just a splash of colour to give it the appearance of being hand painted) and with the Tall ship peacefully gliding in to view.
The timing was just right to achieve the original composition of this shot, as 2 minutes later a large crowd gathered in the foreground, to board the ship.

Simplistic stylized shapes are used, to create an atmospheric picture of the Holland America Line ship, Volendam,
docked at the Sydney Harbour.
The sight and sound of its departure, while turning
and cruising off to the South Pacific en route to Vancouver,
was an interesting finale to my last evening in Sydney!
