**********************************************
My cameras; used over 50 years, from 1963 to 2017.
I prefer to take natural photographs, not composed studio shots,
with people and animals in their familiar surroundings.
My first interest in photography started at the age of 13, with a Brownie camera
(borrowed from my younger brother) and black & white film,
en route by ship from the UK to Australia;
in Italy and travelling through the Suez canal, past Africa and Egypt to Arabia...
a young photographer's dream.
I continued with photography as I travelled later in life and by far the most
spectacular, natural, sight I have seen and photographed is Victoria Falls,
in Zimbabwe, where I stayed with my Father who lived in Africa.
For my travels at a young age (in my 20's) through Africa, Mauritius, Asia,
England, Wales, Scotland and Europe I used an Olympus Trip 35.
Then (in my 30's) Singapore, Hong Kong, America and Hawaii a Canon
and later a Pentax MZ-50 with a Sigma lens, an Olympus Digital and Sony DSLR.
I used to combine both film and digital technology but, in July 2012,
I have treated myself to the last camera I will own;
a Digital Nikon D5100 Creative Kit with 3 lenses.
This great camera was on my 'bucket list' (things to do before you kick the bucket)
and hopefully, with it, I shall capture many more photographs of my new home,
the interesting, beautiful and diverse Tasmania.
