Pen & Ink
This was a long project, taking many months. It was painstakingly drawn in half an hour blocks, as there is no room for mistakes with pen work.
5 different pens were used. Each individual brick was stippled with 3 pens.
It is a busy picture so it was a challenge (and took a lot of brain-storming) to achieve all of the different textures and tones without losing the detail.
As with all artwork, this very detailed pen drawing is much better in real life.
Compressed images for the Internet appear blurred and do not do the artwork justice.

Fergie
This drawing was commissioned in 1998, by the owner of this cute 'little' pet pig, who grew up to be a very 'big' pig.
But, lucky for Fergie, she had a vegetarian owner and lived a long and happy life!
Papillon
Pastel & Charcoal
Approx 36" unframed
This is one of a set of two large drawings...
The first picture of the set, that was sold from my Art Gallery, was a colourful flowers study.
The second picture, of this butterfly, was then commissioned by my client, to match and compliment the first picture that he purchased of the flowers.
Iris
This was the first picture I sold, many years ago, as a young artist...
I can't find a signature on it so I don't think I even signed it!
The photo is of poor quality as it was taken so long ago
but I decided to put it on my website for nostalgia.
I have drawn and sold many flower and other artworks
but unfortunately I didn't keep a record of them all.
Original Artwork For Sale
Detailed drawings.
Coloured pencil and pen & ink work is very time consuming,
so although some of these pictures are small they are very detailed,
taking many hours/weeks/months of work.
A small artwork can take 20-40 hours, a larger piece 40-100 (or more) hours.
The 'unframed' original artworks which were previously for sale on this site
(including many other unfinished pieces from my studio
which I completed over a period of 4 months)
have now all been beautifully framed...
by Whitelaws Picture Framers, Launceston, Tasmania.
Each frame has been carefully chosen to compliment the artwork.
Photographing framed pictures is problematic, due to the reflections on the glass.
In some cases spotlights were used instead of a camera flash,
so due to the dull lighting the colours are not true to life.
Please refer to the picture below the framed artwork for a better image.
Original artwork needs to be viewed in real life to be really appreciated.
This page is still in progress, pricing/sizes etc.
It is the last of my artwork which is for sale, as I have now retired from drawing.
Some pieces will become part of my collection.
I will continue with my Photography.
Please contact me if you have any questions,
or if you would like to view any of the artwork at my studio.

1936 (Dodge) Fargo
FRAMED

The size of this picture is HUGE, for a Pastel painting/drawing of an Automotive artwork.
This is one of my last, large artworks, that I have for sale.
Most of my other large pieces have been sold, or are a part of my collection, as I don't create artwork of this size any more.
The frame is magnificent (see detail of frame below), it is a heavy frame made with hardwood and has a 'double' mount...
it would suit a Boardroom, large Office or Country Home. It is very impressive because of its size and is best viewed in real life.

framed to compliment a classic picture.
